POSTURE IS POWER! Conveys a powerful message.
Many of us are experiencing longer hours at work, with extended periods at our desk with no breaks.
On average, people spend more than 3,500 days at work over a lifetime.
Sitting without movement can lead to problems like muscle degeneration, aches, organ damage, slowed brain function, and more. Small exercises or stretches at your desk can help prevent these issues.
Your posture is important, it conveys a powerful message.
Good, straight posture indicates confidence and professionalism. It tells others that you are in control. It conveys the message that you have confidence in your competence.
Positive posture should be natural and relaxed, not stiff and tense. You should be aware everyday of your posture and what it is doing. Our body creates muscle memory, if you sit or stand continuously in slouched or slumped positions your body will prefer this position and not want to be tall and strong. In fact, your posture will continue to deteriorate which ultimately causes a variety of health issues.
Posture has also been scientifically proven to change our minds and how we think about ourselves. If we keep our body in a negative posture position (e.g. crossed arms, slouching, extended neck etc.) we are likely to be in more of a negative state of mind. When we maintain strong open posture, our minds are more inclined to be open, positive and engaging.
The benefits of consistent positive posture are:
- Polished and professional
- More confident, warm and welcoming image
- Increases your concentration and thinking ability as you immediately start breathing properly
- A winning first impression everyday.
- Improves your image, you look good, you feel good
We believe that posture is power! It has so many benefits that enhance your image, your health and your happiness.
