HOW DO YOU LOCKOUT A CIRCUIT BREAKER?
A Circuit Breaker is an automatically operated electrical switch, designed to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by excess current from an overload or short circuit. It’s basic function is to interrupt current flow of energy after a fault is detected, by shutting off.
If you are doing maintenance work on a machine connected to a switch board, you will be required to shut off the flow of energy from the circuit. Once you have turned the circuit off, you will need to ensure that you lock it out to prevent someone starting up the flow of energy again.
We have many products suited for the lockout of circuits.
- Heavy duty mechanism allows extra life and strength to all our PVC lockouts.
- Circuit Breakers to suit both single/multi breakers.
- Easy install – fits over most safety switches, and secured in place with a small Philips Head screwdriver
- Once tight and secure, fit your lock so that the device can not be removed.
